Repairs
What we repair on an existing roof
Repair first when it is the honest answer. When the repair would cost half of a new roof, we say so and show why.
Leaks
We trace the leak from the stain back to its source, which is often not above the stain.
Flashing
Chimneys, skylights, walls and pipe boots are where most leaks start.
Shingles
Missing, cracked or lifted shingles replaced with a matching product where one exists.
Vents and ventilation
Ember-resistant vents, ridge vents and attic intake added or repaired.
Panel mounts
A leaking mount under an array is flashed again; the electrician's disconnect is billed by your solar company.
Storm and tarp
A temporary tarp now, a proper repair when the weather allows.
Repair or replace
How we decide, and show you
A common rule of thumb is to replace when repairs reach half the cost of a new roof. We show the photos and the numbers behind our recommendation, and the choice is yours.

Questions
Questions homeowners ask
Do you handle insurance claims?
No. You decide whether to file, you deal with your insurer, and your deductible stays yours. We inspect, photograph and write an itemized estimate you can share with your insurer. If you ask, we can meet your adjuster at the house.
Why does attic ventilation matter?
Balanced intake and exhaust keeps the attic cooler in summer and drier in winter. Poor ventilation shortens a roof's life and can void some warranties, so we check it at every inspection.
What warranty do I get?
Two parts. The manufacturer's material warranty covers the product, and our workmanship warranty covers our installation. The terms of each, and who registers it, are written on your warranty sheet.
A leak, or a stain you cannot place?
Text us a photo and we will tell you what to do next.
